This photo series documents daily life aboard USS Kearsarge between 2021 and 2023, capturing Sailors and Marines living and working while underway in active operational environments.
The images show routine and ritual across the ship, from flight deck operations and maintenance to moments of rest, preparation, and transition between evolutions. Created from within the crew, the work reflects the lived reality of service members assigned to USS Kearsarge and operating as part of the modern United States Navy.
The goal of this series was to document the Navy as it exists today through honest, observational imagery. Rather than focusing solely on mission outcomes, the photographs preserve the human environment behind operations, showing the individuals, spaces, and routines that sustain continuous presence at sea.
