Night Ops

Night Ops is a photographic series documenting flight operations aboard the USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) during nighttime flight qualifications, capturing the intensity, precision, and endurance required to sustain aviation at sea after dark.

Illuminated only by deck lighting, aircraft like the MV-22 Osprey emerge from darkness as both machine and presence, while the aviators and flight deck crew move with quiet urgency around them.
